Christmas 2007

We hope all had a truly joyous Christmas celebration. Celebrating our Savior's birth is always so hope and love-filled. Enjoy these photos!

A photo shoot under the Christmas tree.

I couldn't resist adding this photo. Riley LOVED her visit from "Santa"!

The toddler's were a bit more sceptical

Mommy even got to sit on Santa's lap! :)

Lydia and her friends Owen and Luke (who are obviously preoccupied with the ball-popper ;)

Lydie feeding her baby.

And pushing her in the stroller.

Cereal nose. She was like this for minutes.

Kissing cousins

She LOVED picking up huge boxes and attempting to carry them around. The bigger the better!

Our darling on Christmas eve

Our little organizer thought that all the red balls belonged together so she took it upon herself to "redecorate" the tree. :)

When she uncovered her little learning kitchen she repeated, "Oh Baby"! Classic!

Aunt Leslie is so much fun!

Birthdays & Winter

She LOVES to blow out candles or anything resembles fire. In addition to candles, she "blows out" the fire in the fireplace & any Christmas light (mantle, tree, etc.)

Playing "bal" or other times pronounced "ball-puh" with Uncle John

Showing off her kazoo skills. Getting such a kick out of herself!

An attempt at a family photo with little cooperation from the toddler. :)

In awe of our first real snow!

All bundled up for a photo shoot.

Lydia "helping" to put up the Christmas lights.

She now loves her "lang let" otherwise known as a blanket. Sleepy girl...

Celebrating Great-ma's 90th birthday with balloons!

What fun, right mommy?

You know she's sick when she prefers to be still on the floor rather than play with the toys I set out. It's so pathetic when they don't feel well. Poor baby...

"Why am I in here and he/she's out/in there?" -Lydia & Guinness

Oh, Baby!

Of course, in this video clip, the exclamation is prompted. It's even
more funny when she does it spontaneously. We're never sure what she'll
come out with next. Currently, she loves to say "alright", "no", "e-i"
(as a precursor to e-i-e-i-o). And variations of "a, b, c".

First Steps

Yesterday Lydie took some continuous steps for the first time (previously it was only one at a time.) Here we go!

Thanksgiving

Lydie wanted to help prepare the Thanksgiving feast...

Chilling with Cheyenne (her cousin once-removed)

Lydie and Julie (another cousin of mine)

Visiting with her Gotwald great-grandparents

Great-aunt Sarah, a science teacher, is instructing Lydia about genetics via fingerprints, hair samples, and ear lobes. So much to learn!

G-ma took Lydie for a walk outside and they found a leaf.

Daddeee finally made it (he missed dinner because he was working) so they spent some quality time watching football...

Lydie is totally into the "touchdown" sign. Without prompting when she sees football on TV she automatically goes into "touchdown" mode.

Showing her cousin-once-removed Natty a football and of course telling him all about it. She's such a chatterbox!

An attempt at a family portrait

We sure do love our Lydie!

Going for a stroll...

Here's a little video of Lydie truckin' down the sidewalk pushing her
little bus that a friend at playgroup gave her to use. She loves it and
as you can see, is getting quite proficient at it.

Standing

Here's a little video taken at the beginning of November. Obviously she
is getting the balance down. Now if she'd just put those feet in front
of one another!
